Butterfly Tongue is a moving tragi-comic tale set in Owen Sound at the repeal of prohibition (1972!). It follows a hardboiled foundry worker as he wanders through town, reliving his star-crossed relationship with Susan – a hippie with two things on her back: a monkey, and an angel's wings.
