How the Circus Vanished
“How the Circus Vanished” is a four-time award winning play by John Boc. “How the Circus Vanished” is a story about two people in a psychiatric institution who, by exploring their past, try to realize their ‘presence’. It touches on how the characters feel they are viewed by healthcare workers, their families and society in general. A question and answer period follows each performance to discuss the content with the playwright, a psychiatrist and the two actors in the show. This play was invited to be performed in New York City and was staged as part of the international “Performing the World, Mental Health Conference”.
